AI Product Designer
NewAbout the Role
Design AI-first experiences for 100M+ users. Prototype with Midjourney + Figma.
As a AI Product Designer at Zomato, you'll join a small, senior team building AI-native e-commerce products from the ground up. You'll work daily with Midjourney, Figma, ChatGPT to design, ship, and scale features that customers use every day. This is a high-ownership role — you'll have direct input on what we build and how we build it.
What You'll Do
- Instrument observability — eval pipelines, prompt versioning, cost dashboards
- Write clean, well-tested code in Python / TypeScript and review PRs from peers
- Design, build, and ship production-grade AI features using Midjourney, Figma, ChatGPT
- Mentor junior builders and contribute to engineering standards
- Build retrieval, RAG, and agent pipelines that scale to thousands of concurrent users
- Architect end-to-end e-commerce workflows that integrate LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) with internal systems
- Optimise inference cost, latency, and reliability across services
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on portfolio
- Comfort working with vector databases (pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate)
- Have shipped LLM-powered products to real users (not just prototypes)
- 4–7 years of experience as a AI Product Designer or in a closely related role
- Strong written communication — you can document decisions clearly
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or both
- Strong hands-on experience with Midjourney / Figma / ChatGPT in real production environments
Nice to Have
- Past work in the E-Commerce domain
- Have written publicly (blog posts, talks, OSS) about AI engineering
- Comfort with Kubernetes, Terraform, or modern infra-as-code
- Familiarity with Cloudflare Workers / serverless edge runtimes
