Own the roadmap for AI features inside Jira & Confluence.
As a Product Manager · AI Tools at Atlassian, you'll join a small, senior team building AI-native saas products from the ground up. You'll work daily with ChatGPT, Claude to design, ship, and scale features that customers use every day. This is a high-ownership role — you'll have direct input on what we build and how we build it.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and ship production-grade AI features using ChatGPT, Claude
- Mentor junior builders and contribute to engineering standards
- Build retrieval, RAG, and agent pipelines that scale to thousands of concurrent users
- Architect end-to-end saas workflows that integrate LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) with internal systems
- Optimise inference cost, latency, and reliability across services
- Collaborate with product, design, and customer teams to translate business problems into AI solutions
- Own the full lifecycle of features — from spec, prototype, A/B test, to rollout
What We're Looking For
- Have shipped LLM-powered products to real users (not just prototypes)
- 4–7 years of experience as a Product Manager · AI Tools or in a closely related role
- Strong written communication — you can document decisions clearly
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or both
- Strong hands-on experience with ChatGPT / Claude in real production environments
- Bias for shipping — comfortable owning ambiguous problems end-to-end
- Experience with prompt engineering, evals, and prompt-versioning workflows
Nice to Have
- Built and operated agentic systems in production
- Familiarity with Cloudflare Workers / serverless edge runtimes
- Have written publicly (blog posts, talks, OSS) about AI engineering
- Open source contributions to AI / dev-tools projects
